Project Brdo – Vrhovci

Site location, the Brdo Vrhovci area in Ljubljana’s suburb is planned for big residential and business development. The concept evolved around the idea, how to integrate such big scale program in a very delicate and small-scale environment.
Development of the concept separated the design in three areas. The residential part of the main road on the west side, small-scale housing units in the middle part of the site, and the business part of the north side, that functions as a new landmark. All areas are connected by the main path, used as a public space that hosts various activities and programs. With this intervention, the whole area would become a vibrant and attractive zone in city’s suburb.
