Profile

I am an enthusiastic and motivated young architect from Slovenia who enjoys working with qualified and passionate people and learning new approaches and skills from them. Organised, eager to learn, dedicated and with good interpersonal skills, I am able to work efficiently alone or in the team, taking responsibility for action or instruction.
Understanding, developing and applying concept and ideas, I am able to quickly translate them into corresponding graphical media for various purposes. Having experience in working long hours in demanding workspaces, I have the ability to plan ahead in order to meet the required deadlines.

  • April 2015   The Plečnik Award – Award for student recognition of 2015
    Joze Plecnik Fund, Architect’s Society of Ljubljana (DAL), The City Municipality of Ljubljana Selected project of 9 nominated projects running for the prize. Plecnik Award is the most prestigious national award in the field of architecture in Slovenia.

  • July 2015 to July 2016   Workshop TBI: Youth, City and Heritage
    Project TBI: Youth, city and the heritage has the goal to encourage the step toward the future. Its ambition is to show the heritage of Idrija as an excellent starting point with a possibility to become the city of the future, combining rich heritage with a vision of a modern society.  Through the creation of a new development vision, expansion of the city, connecting the unconnected, and introduction of new functions, we will show how the city could and should develop. By this, a holistic and connected vision will emerge, ready for the challenges of the future.
    International multidisciplinary student workshop, 30 participants, 5 different nationalities.

  • January to August 2014  40th World Scout Conference & 12th World Scout Youth Forum
    The World Scout Conference is the governing body of WOSM. This where the member organisations consider the policy and standards of the Scout Movement, formulate the general policy of the World Organization and take the action required to further the purpose of the Movement. The Conference takes place every three years.
    The 40th World Scout Conference took place 11-15 August 2014 in Ljubljana, the 12th World Scout Youth Forum took place 4-7 August 2014 in Rogla, Slovenia.
    Organisation committee – chief of photography and video team. Leading the team of 7 photographers and 2 cameramen through both events. In charge of selecting candidates through public call (portfolio review and interviews), educating and preparing the team for the event, preparing and setting up systems for image/video publishing to all major news agencies and making sure the efficient operations through both events.

Exhibitions

  • 3rd June to 3rd July 2016   Workshop TBI: Youth, city and heritage
    Final workshop results exhibition as a pilot example of adaptive reuse in Idrija – exhibition was held in now abandoned Joseph Shaft. The exhibition was a showcase of international multidisciplinary student workshop, dealing with creating a new vision for Idrija.

  • 30th February to 6th March 2016    Magazine TBI – four years in the making
    The solo photography exhibition, commemorating the newest issue of magazine TBI. The exhibition presented the stories from all four volumes of magazine TBI (To Bo Idrija), portraying passionate and successful people from sports to culture, which have strong ties to Idrija.

  • 15th May to 15th July 2015   International photo exhibition “Youth in Nature”
    As part of the 40th World Scout Conference in Ljubljana, organisers set up a photography exhibition in the most prominent exhibition promenade in Slovenia, to show the relation between youth and nature.
    Eight large format prints selected and displayed through international competition.

  • 27th December 2012 to 15th February 2013   60 years of Scouting in Idrija
    The exhibition displaying the rich and diverse history of Scouting in Idrija, covering the development of Scout movement in Idrija from 1952. The exhibition was designed in a way that led the visitor through every decade, with emphasis on various events and objects that had a profound effect on future development.
